Forhåbentlig kan RBS lægge et så stort pres på amerikanerne, at et salg kan blive mere eller mindre fremtvunget. At amerikanerne vil have så mange penge som muligt ved et salg, kan man som sådan ikke fortænke dem i. Spørgsmålet er dog, om de evner at være realistiske i deres prissættelse af klubben - de har (heldigvis) allerede sagt nej til et tilbud fra Dubai, hvor de kunne have fået en stor profit, men det var også før krisen for alvor havde gjort sit indtog.
