Four years later, Juan Roberto Martinez, who would later earn the nickname Pipi cazagoles (Pipi the goal-hunter), joined the club´s ranks. Over the ensuing six seasons, the Mendoza-born striker scored 43 times in 141 league games, picking up five national titles and two Spanish Cups along the way.
