Peru completes list of players for friendly against South Korea in Seoul
Peru football coach, Uruguayan Sergio Markarian, completed his list of 20 players, including 14 ´Legionnaires´, for the friendly against South Korea in Seoul on August 14. The match will serve as a warm-up for their match Uruguay in the South American qualifiers.
The big news is the return of young striker Reimond Manco, from club UTC from the city of Cajamarca, who returns to the selection after his expulsion for indiscipline in 2010.
The coach also called-up Jesus Alvarez, from Sporting Cristal, in order to replace Carlos Zambrano (Eintracht Frankfurt, Germany), who will not play on September 6 against Uruguay owing to suspension.
On Tuesday, Markarian had called 14 players who play abroad. Surprising was the exclusion of midfielder Juan Manuel Vargas (Fiorentina of Italy), of whom the coach said is lacking in football and is looking for a new team to play for.
"The most important thing is that we are united for this match. It is the perfect opportunity prior to the qualifiers," said Markarian to sports reporters.
