LIGA POSTOBON CLAUSURA: SATURDAY 10TH AUG 2013WEEK 3 – Saturday 10th August 2013Saturday night/Sunday morning it was a case of business as usual for Nacional and Santa Fe, while Once Caldas trounced Tolima by four goals.
ALIANZA PETROLERA 1-2 ATLÉTICO NACIONAL
First-half goals from Diego Arias and Wilder Guisao helped an under-strength Nacional side defeat Petrolera. Former Nacional midfielder David Valencia replied for Alianza scoring against his old club.
The opening goal came on 17 minutes when Petrolera failed to clear a cross from the left, the ball fell to Arias’s feet, he controlled then powered a shot on the half-volley home past Ricardo Jerez in goal.
The home side hit back in the 31st minute, when Valencia scrambled the ball over the line from a corner, much to the attempts of goalkeeper Luis Martinez trying to keep it out.
But Guisao got the winner four minutes later, with a great individual goal. Collecting the ball on the right-wing, the striker cut inside and continued into the box, diving out the way of tackles and finishing superbly. Guisao, on loan from Bogota FC, is doing well to earn a contract at El Verde.

Santa Fe ended a bad run coming back from a goal down to defeat Itagui 2-1 on early Sunday morning.
After a scoreless first period, we did not have to wait for long for a goal in the second-half. The visitors won a penalty after a handball (that looked accidental) was given. Jorge Aguirre converted the spot-kick superbly but they were in front for only four minutes.
An unfortunate own goal by Javier López Rodríguez got Santa Fe back on level terms and on 70 minutes, Sergio Gonzalez’s low drive from outside the box clinched the win. This was Gonzalez’s third goal in as many games and he looks to have slotted in where Wilson Medina left.

Two goals in two minutes midway through the first-half settled this one as Pasto and Cali shared the points in a 1-1 tie.
Referee Ulises Arrieta awarded a penalty on 25 minutes when Julián Lalinde was adjudged to have been pulled down by Fainer Torijano and Diego Amaya. The penalty was successfully converted by Víctor Manuel Zapata. The penalty decision seemed a bit harsh and perhaps justice prevailed two minutes later.
The defender that gave away the spot-kick scored the leveller. Diego Amaya risijng above everyone to send a looping header into the net from a free-kick whipped in on the right. The match finished 1-1.

The game was quite even before Tolima’s Felix Noguera sent for an early bath for two bookable offences within a minute of each other, then the heavens opened and a rain of goals poured into Antony Silva’s goal.
Two goals from Sergio Herrera which were netted either side of half time, and young pair Clemente Palacios (19) and Carlos Robles (21) added late goals to give the hosts the emphatic victory.
