Napoli ficha al arquero Mariano Andújar y lo cederá al Betis

NÁPOLES -- El arquero del seleccionado argentino Mariano Andújar pasó el jueves del Catania al Napoli, club que lo dará en préstamo al Betis o al Sevilla de España, según consignó el diario Il Mattino.

Andújar, de 30 años, firmará contrato en el Napoli por los próximos tres años.

La noticia, que también se difundió por el portal Calciomercato, señaló que Napoli definió la adquisición de Andújar, exarquero de Huracán, Estudiantes de la Plata y el Palermo de Italia, quien en los últimos partidos del seleccionado argentino fue convocado por el técnico Alejandro Sabella.

El arquero concurrirá el viernes a la revisión médica del Napoli, club que lo cederá en préstamo al Betis o al Sevilla por los próximos seis meses.

La operación, según se especuló, fue definida en función de que en junio próximo vencerá el préstamo del arquero suplente del Napoli, José Pepe Reina, quien regresará al Liverpool de Inglaterra.

Der var snak om en russisk klub på et tidspunkt, men jeg har ikke lagt mærke til at der var sket noget.. Han er, pardon my french, fandme også en "lækker" spiller.

I øvrigt - Hold kæft hvor er det ærgeligt mht. Falcao. Trist at en af verdens bedste angribere går glip af VM. Jeg ved godt at Colombia også har Jackson Martinez, samt flere andre dygtige offensive spillere som eks. Cuadrado der gør det fremragende i Fiorentina, men med al respekt så er Martinez altså ikke lige så god som Falcao.

Det er trist med Falcao, på den anden side kan det være en blessing in disguise så de undgår en 1994 - slutrunde. de er nødt til at holde fokus og vil nok blive afskrevet af omgivelse pga Falcaos fravær. Skal de have skader er angrebet måske ikke det værste sted, de har jo en dybde angrebsmæssigt som få andre landshold, Jackson, Gutiérrez, Muriel, Bacca, Quintero, Reasco, Cordoba, Renteria, Cuero, Toloza, Ibarbo - der er rigeligt at tage af - spg er om Pekerman pga Falcaos skade går fra en 4-4-2 (Gutierrez og Martinez) til en 4-2-1-2-1 med Martinez som en enlig angriber.

Insúa, a un paso de volver a Independiente

BUENOS AIRES -- Mientras el plantel se encuentra en Córdoba a la espera del encuentro de este jueves por la noche, ante Belgrano, 22.10 en el Mario Alberto Kempes, Federico Insúa acordó de palabra su desvinculación de Vélez y está próximo a regresar a Independiente. Este fue el resultado de la reunión entre el representante del jugador y los dirigentes de la entidad de Liniers, en la cual se solucionó la deuda que el club mantenía con el "Pocho".

Una vez firmada la rescisión con Vélez, Insúa se reunirá con la dirigencia del Rojo para arreglar los detalles de su nuevo contrato con el club de Avellaneda. De concretarse, será la tercera etapa del enganche en Independiente. Las anteriores fueron en 2002-2003 (cuando se coronó campeón del Apertura 2002, con Américo Gallego como técnico) y en 2004-2005.

De todas formas, para que se cristalice la vuelta de Insúa la dirigencia del Rojo necesitará generar algún ingreso. La solución vendría de la mano de Hilario Navarro, ya que el arquero es pretendido por Peñarol de Montevideo, cuyos dirigentes podrían llegar el viernes para iniciar las negociaciones. El club uruguayo, además, pedirían condiciones por otro arquero del plantel: Fabián Assmann.

Por otro lado, fue rechazada definitivamente la oferta del Rangers de Chile por Samuel Cáceres. El zaguero paraguayo, de breve paso por Nueva Chicago en 2012, seguirá en Independiente, donde lleva jugados 20 partidos y convirtió 4 goles.

Por lo pronto, el equipo que Omar De Felippe pondrá en cancha ante Belgrano de Córdoba será: Diego Rodríguez; Gabriel Vallés, Cristian Tula, Julián Velázquez, Claudio Morel Rodríguez; Martín Zapata, Reinaldo Alderete, Leonel Miranda; Matías Pisano; Adrián Fernández y Sebastián Penco. De esta manera, los ingresos de Penco por Daniel Montenegro y de Morel Rodríguez por Lucas Villalba serán los dos cambios con respecto a la derrota ante Rosario Central.

Independiente volverá a Buenos Aires el viernes para encarar la semana final de cara al encuentro ante Brown de Adrogué, por la segunda rueda de la B Nacional. El Rojo se encuentra tercero en la tabla de posiciones, ocupando el último lugar de ascenso a Primera División.

River: cambia el sistema de canje y fuerte aumento en las cuotas sociales

BUENOS AIRES -- River Plate anunció el jueves el fin del canje de entradas para sus asociados en los partidos que se desarrollen en el Estadio Monumental y un "tarifazo" en las cuotas mensuales de sus fanáticos, luego de la reunión de Comisión Directiva.

La medida del canje, que había sido puesta en vigencia por la anterior dirigencia que comandó Daniel Passarella, dará paso a un nuevo sistema en el cuál todos los espectadores estarán registrados y donde se cumplirá con la capacidad habilitada de cada sector del estadio.

El sistema será de uso exclusivo de los socios de la institución y será necesario que se encuentren con la cuota al día y pertenezcan a las siguientes categorías: Vitalicios, Activos Plenos, Activos Simples, Adherentes o Menores.

Según el comunicado del club de Núñez, "la institución pondrá especial énfasis en la transparencia de todas las etapas del proceso, para ello identificará a cada socio que adquiera su ubicación y publicará en el Sitio Oficial la identidad de todos aquéllos que hayan adquirido su localidad".

El proceso de registración comenzará este domingo desde las 10, mientras que a partir del miércoles, también desde las 10, se iniciará la reserva de las localidades, que se realizará por única vez en el torneo. Todo este procedimiento se realizará a través de la web de River: www.cariverplate.com.ar.

Además, las cuotas sociales sufrirán un incremento de un 28.5 por ciento aproximadamente, y el único lugar gratuito del estadio con el carnet será el de la tribuna Sívori alta, mientras que para las plateas, los hinchas tendrán que pagar un abono.

Para la Sivori media y baja, y para la Centenario media y baja, habrá que pagar un adicional de 350 pesos, para la Belgrano y San Martín alta 600 pesos (estas ubicaciones eran gratuitas), y según el sector también se cobrará en las plateas San Martín y Belgrano medias y bajas.

En cuanto a la cuota social, para los simples, el monto saltará de 140 pesos a 180 pesos (28.5 por ciento de aumento) y los plenos pasarán de 190 pesos a 240 pesos (26 por ciento de incremento).

Walter Erviti regresa a Banfield

BUENOS AIRES -- El mediocampista Walter Erviti se convirtió el jueves en el nuevo refuerzo de Banfield para conseguir el ascenso a la Primera División, confirmó el presidente del club, Eduardo Spinosa.

"Desde que salió de Boca lo quisimos y estuvimos hablando, pero se le dio una oportunidad muy buena para él de ir a México, aunque sabíamos que iba a volver. Las ganas de Walter (Erviti) fueron determinantes para que hoy sea jugador de Banfield", anunció Spinoza por Radio La Red.

De esta manera, el volante llegará al país el martes y el miércoles firmará un contrato con Banfield por dos años y medio.

"Walter (Erviti) es un jugador que vuelve a los 33 años, en la plenitud de su carrera. Cuando se fue de Boca había sido el mejor jugador del fútbol argentino y ahora lo necesitamos para conseguir los objetivos que tenemos", afirmó el titular banfileño.

El presidente informó además que el miércoles, el mediocampista se entrenará con el plantel de Matías Almeyda, que realiza la pretemporada de cara al reinicio del Torneo de la Primera B Nacional.

Erviti, quien salió campeón en Banfield del Torneo Apertura 2009, había rescindido el miércoles su contrato con el Atlante y hoy le envió a Spinosa el contrato firmado con el Taladro.

"La prioridad absoluta es conseguir el ascenso y estamos trabajando bien y de a poco vamos poniendo las cosas en su lugar", agregó el presidente del club.

Erviti, en tanto, grabó un video especial desde México agradeciéndole a los hinchas de Banfield por el apoyo y expresando su alegría por regresar al club.

Independiente: suspenden cinco fechas a Claudio Morel Rodríguez

BUENOS AIRES -- El defensor paraguayo de Independiente Claudio Morel Rodríguez recibió esta noche la sanción de cinco fechas de parte del Tribunal de Disciplina de la AFA, por la dura falta que le aplicó a Diego Villar en el clásico ante Racing Club en Mar del Plata, y se perderá los primeros dos partidos en el reinicio del Torneo de la Primera B Nacional.

Morel le cometió una fuerte infracción a Villar en los minutos iniciales del clásico y el jugador de Racing, a causa de ese golpe, no pudo continuar en el partido, que terminaría con goleada de Racing por 3 a 0.

"No me parece justo, más allá de que fue una entrada fuerte no tuve la intención de lastimar a ningún jugador y teniendo en cuenta durante el torneo hubo patadas más graves que esas", expresó Morel Rodríguez.

Y agregó: "Siempre fui de jugar fuerte, pero nunca tuve mala leche".

El paraguayo ya cumplió tres fechas, por los amistosos ante Newell´s Old Boys, Rosario Central y Belgrano, y por el momento Independiente no tiene programados más encuentros de pretemporada, por lo que no podrá ser tenido en cuenta por el técnico Omar De Felippe en las primeras dos fechas del certamen.

En esos compromisos, Independiente visitará a Brown de Adrogué y recibirá a Boca Unidos de Corrientes.

Lanzini y Menseguéz, titulares ante Boca

BUENOS AIRES -- Con la mente puesta en el segundo Superclásico del año, el plantel de River se entrenó el jueves por la tarde en el predio de Ezeiza. El técnico Ramón Díaz paró el equipo que enfrentará a Boca el sábado, en Córdoba, con Manuel Lanzini recuperado de la fatiga muscular como enganche y con el ingreso de Juan Carlos Menseguéz como titular, acompañando a Teófilo Gutiérrez en la delantera.

Teniendo en cuenta la suspensión de Fernando Cavenaghi, se esperaba que Giovanni Simeone fuese su reemplazante. Sin embargo, el entrenador optará por poner desde el arranque al ex San Lorenzo y volver a confiar en Teo como referencia de área.

Las otras variantes serán tácticas. En defensa se producirá el ingreso de Eder Álvarez Balanta, quien no pudo ser parte del 1 a 1 en Mar del Plata por lesión, en lugar de Ramiro Funes Mori. En tanto que Matías Kranevitter irá desde el arranque, relegando a Cristian Ledesma al banco de suplentes.

En consecuencia, los once titulares para enfrentar a Boca este sábado, 22.10 en el Mario Alberto Kempes, serán: Marcelo Barovero; Gabriel Mercado, Jonatan Maidana, Álvarez Balanta; Carlos Carbonero, Leonardo Ponzio, Matías Kranevitter, Leonel Vangioni; Lanzini; Menseguéz y Teo Gutiérrez. La delegación de River volverá a entrenar el viernes por la mañana y por la tarde emprenderá viaje rumbo a Córdoba en un vuelo charter.

El Millonario volverá a enfrentar al conjunto de Carlos Bianchi el sábado 1 de febrero en Mendoza, en lo que será su último encuentro de pretemporada antes del arranque del campeonato. El debut de River en el Torneo Final será ante Gimnasia de La Plata, el domingo 9 de febrero, 19.10 en el Estadio Monumental.

Recent additions Albornoz and Hernandez could boost Chile

The addition of Swedish-Chilean left back Miiko Albornoz to the Chile national team, could boost the team on defence.

A few weeks ago Miiko Albornoz was a Swedish left back who happened to have a Chilean father. And Pablo Hernandez was an Argentine playmaker who, for less than six months, happened to playing in the Chilean league.

Fast forward a month or so and they are both Chilean internationals, in with a real chance of going to the World Cup. Both made their debuts against Costa Rica on Wednesday night, in a friendly played in the northern city of Coquimbo. Albornoz scored the first goal, and Hernandez added the next two in Chile’s 4-0 win. The gods of football appear to have smiled on their decisions to switch nationalities.

Albornoz, who plays for Malmo, had come up the youth ranks representing Sweden, and national team coach Erik Hamren considers him a great loss to the senior squad. He gave Chileans some evidence of why that might be. After 12 minutes, his first attacking surge of the night won a free kick down the left flank. It was not properly cleared by the Costa Rica defence. Centre-back Michael Umana had a wretched night, deservedly sent off just after the hour. On this occasion his defensive header was a disaster, giving Albornoz the chance to open the scoring with an acrobatic volley.

There was another equally impressive flash from the 23-year-old left back. In the second half, he turned with such adroitness that he almost snapped his marker in two, ran to the byline and pulled back a precise low cross. It was a moment that surely did a power of good to his chances of going to the World Cup as reserve to first choice Eugenio Mena. Certainly Albornoz has done enough to warrant another opportunity -- this time the far stiffer challenge of an away game against Germany on March 5.

Pablo Hernandez, too, brings some interesting things to the dance. The 27-year-old, who qualifies for Chile through his grandmother, has made a big impression on the domestic league since his club debut last August. He was the outstanding player as O´Higgins of Rancagua won their first league title -- despite being unable to play in their home city. With their stadium being redeveloped, O´Higgins are living a nomadic existence, staging their games in a number of different grounds in the capital, Santiago, a two-hour drive away.

Their first title, then, is a fairytale story, and it would not have happened without Hernandez, their second-leading scorer, and also the man who scored the clinching goal in the title playoff against Universidad Catolica.

His goals typically resulted from well-timed runs into the box, and efficient finishes either with his left foot or his head. Indeed, both goals against Costa Rica came from headers -- which makes them particularly interesting.

Chile are not a tall side -- indeed, they do not excel in the air both in defence or attack. So the addition of a player proficient in this area (Hernandez is listed at 6-foot-1) is a boon to the attack -- and perhaps to their defending on set pieces as well. Hernandez, too, has clearly justified his selection in the squad to take on the Germans.

The fourth goal was scored by Carlos Munoz, of Baniyas in the Arab Emirates. Apart from Albornoz, he was the only player on duty who is based abroad. This, then, was a scratch Chile side, nowhere near full strength, made up of fringe players pushing for a place on the plane to Brazil. Clearly, in such circumstances it is difficult to judge the collective side of the performance. The players lack team understanding, and the situation almost obliges them to be selfish. Moreover, the opposition were not at full strength, and on the night Costa Rica gave a thoroughly undistinguished display.

But they could easily have been ahead at halftime -- more as the result of early Chilean problems than anything else. Chile played a poor first 45 minutes, when their lack of pace at the back was frequently exposed by Jonathan McDonald -- which at least gave home keeper Johnny Herrera the chance to shine, and make it apparent that he is the backup to national team captain Claudio Bravo.

Chile´s problems emerged from a duplication of functions in midfield. Braulio Leal and Esteban Pavez are both happier sitting centrally. So the full-backs pushed up too much, and a huge hole opened up between the two centre-backs. At halftime, coach Jorge Sampaoli sorted out the problem. Pavez was replaced by Fernando Meneses, a natural right-sided midfielder. Now, with more width in front of them, the defence could stay more compact and play the ball out better -- and once Chile hit their stride they played some lovely football.

The highlight was the second goal, an encapsulation of some of the team´s key principles. From wide left Munoz hit a long diagonal switch to Juan Pedro Fuenzalida on the other flank. Right back Gonzalo Fierro launched himself on the overlap, taking the attention of the defence with him and giving Fuenzalida the space to curl in his cross -- met by Hernandez with a header that crept through Patrick Pemberton in the Costa Rica goal.

These are the kind of moments that neutral fans are hoping Chile can reproduce on a regular basis in the World Cup. After Wednesday night in Coquimbo, Miiko Albornoz and Pablo Hernandez have given themselves a chance of being there.

Does Club America play with 12 men?

The "prophecies of Ricardo ´Tuca´ Ferreti" are becoming a reality...

We returned to an old tradition in Mexican soccer: trying to justify Club America´s wins.

Both victories, each of the six points collected by Club America in the tournament, have been "tarnished" --if not by "bloodshed," which would perhaps be an exaggeration-- by refereeing decisions, but the question is still the same: Are they voluntary mistakes or are they part of the old belief that refereeing --almost systematically-- ends up favoring Club America?

And it wasn´t simply a contact outside the area that the referee decided to call inside. Add to that a strict send-off that ended up by "burying" the visitor´s intentions and a clear penalty --the fourth one in the tournament so far-- that the referee decided not to call against the "powerful" local team. Tuca´s "prophecies" that stipulate that Club America plays with 12 men are proven week in and week out.

However, some people believe that the Club America issue is only part of the media´s reflection of the problem. "It´s nothing against Club America," says former international referee Felipe Ramos Rizo, who today is the refereeing specialist at ESPN Deportes. "The problem is the pressure under which referees work. They aren´t ready for that and it ends up affecting their work, but in terms of Club America, favoring Club America has only been a coincidence."

What is not a coincidence, and what those of us who believe in another hypothesis are not making up, is the direct or indirect relationship between Club America and refereeing in the history of Mexican soccer. A decades-long relationship settled and fostered by the interests, the industry and the game. Club America is the "power" team that represents "power." The Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF) President and the Liga MX President are also executives at the company that owns Club America. Am I telling any lies? If rules and legality present an unstable panorama in Mexican soccer, it´s easy to suppose that one things leads you to another. How closely do refereeing, interests and Club America live, breathe and coexist in Mexican soccer?

I don´t know if the refereeing problem is easy to solve or not, but I would start by injecting strength, independence, personality and that will most likely help the "men in black" to take better and clearer decisions on the soccer pitch. Until that happens, Mexican soccer will be condemned to live eternally under the suspicion that something shady is happening, that the interests and refereeing play in favor of the powerful one.
