Ramón: "En estos tres domingos nos jugamos cosas importantes"

BUENOS AIRES -- El entrenador de River Plate, Ramón Díaz, destacó el triunfo 1-0 de su equipo ante Arsenal en el Monumental por la séptima fecha del Torneo Final y consideró que en los próximos tres compromisos el club de Núñez tendrá cotejos clave.

"Esta semana nos da la oportunidad de recuperar a todos, vamos a jugar en estos tres domingos cosas importantes", aseguró el adiestrador en su contacto con los periodistas, tras el triunfo ante los del Viaducto que lo reacomodó a tres puntos del líder Colón de Santa Fe.

Hay que elogiar el esfuerzo, hubo mucha presión en estos partidos. Esperemos recuperar a los jugadores, hay que mejorar algunas cosas, como que nos fuimos tan agresivos en el primer tiempo".

Por otra parte, el director técnico de River se entusiasmó con la posición que alcanzó su equipo en la tabla: "¿Cómo no nos vamos a ilusionar? El equipo va mejorando poco a poco, si me gustaría que el equipo sea más intenso. Tengo que decir que el esfuerzo que están haciendo es muy grande. Estamos a tres puntos, parecía que era un River que se alejaba, pero ahora estamos ahí".

Merlo, tras la caída de Racing ante Boca: "De esto se sale trabajando"

BUENOS AIRES -- El entrenador del Racing Club, Reinaldo Merlo, resaltó que de la crísis de resultados "se sale trabajando", por lo que dio a entender que continuará en el puesto a pesar del nuevo revés, el 1-2 ante Boca Juniors en el Cilindro de Avellaneda.

"De esto se sale trabajando", sintetizó Merlo, en declaraciones para Canal 7, apenas concluyó el clásico correspondiente a la séptima fecha del Torneo Final.

El presente de los de Avellaneda indica que se encuentran en el fondo de la tabla, con cuatro unidades, producto de una sola victoria, en la primera fecha ante Colón de Santa Fé, cinco caídas y un empate.

Riquelme: "Son cosas del vestuario, la gente tiene que estar contenta"

BUENOS AIRES -- Juan Román Riquelme rompió tras el triunfo por 2-1 ante el Racing Club el corto silencio, deslizó acerca de los problemas internos que "son cosas del vestuario" y resaltó que "la gente de Boca tiene que estar feliz" por el resultado, que los reacomoda a cuatro puntos de la cima del Torneo Final.

"Son cosas del vestuario nuestro, la gente de Boca tiene que estar feliz porque ganamos", sintetizó Riquelme con un tono amigable en declaraciones para Canal 7, ni bien concluyó el clásico, en el mismo campo de juego del Cilindro de Avellaneda.

"Necesitamos ganar, nosotros tenemos la ilusión de pelear el torneo hasta el final; hacía mucho tiempo que no ganábamos de visitante", valoró Riquelme.

Y siguió con su visión positiva: "La cosa es sumar de a tres y estamos más cerca".

Respecto de la competencia doméstica, a doce fechas del desenlace, el capitán auriazul sostuvo que "todos los partidos son muy difíciles" y "los equipos muy parejos".

Venezuela Primera Division Wrap: Zamora increase advantage with Tachira scalp

Zamora climbed four points clear atop the Venezuela Primera Division as they continued their goalscoring ways.

Noel Sanvicente´s men struck three times in six second-half minutes to brush past Deportivo Tachira 3-0.

Zamora are four points clear of Caracas, who could only draw, and third-placed Tucanes after seven wins in nine league games this season.

Uruguay Primera Division Wrap: Nacional capitalise on Fenix fumble

Nacional closed to within a point of top place in the Uruguay Primera Division after leaders Fenix suffered a surprise loss.

Fenix were beaten 2-1 at home to Rentistas and saw their lead cut to a point after Nacional came from behind to beat El Tanque Sisley 3-1.

At Nacional´s Estadio Gran Parque Central in Montevideo, the visitors took a shock eighth-minute lead through Junior Arias.
