Både Vasco og Flamengo skal bare have overstået sæsonen, så det er sindsygt svært at spå om kampen. Vasco er uden Dedé, Juninho m.fl., og Fla mangler Leo Moura, Liedson etc.
Guardiola? Han ligger meget godt til, hvis man har drømmene om jogo bonito. Brasiliansk fodbold er jo meget mere kontrabaseret og aggressiv i forhold til Barcelona-modellen. De tekniske forudsætninger er til stede for en gang god boldmassage, men har spillerne de taktiske og mentale redskaber? Jeg tvivler, men et Guardiola-projekt lyder da spændende. Spørgsmålet er om Pep tør... CBF vælger nok brasiliansk, og dit bud på Scolari lyder godt.

Det lyder som opskriften på en målrig og underholdene clássico, den spillsx vist samtidigt med Santos - Corithians - men det virker ikke til de bliver vist på dansk TV....??

Mht Guardiola og spillestil - og skal det være Jogo bonito, så fortrækker jeg stilen fra 82, men der havde man også i den grad spillerne som kunne gøre det uventet, det innovative, det smukke - spillere med spilintelligens og impulsivitet (lige fra Socrates, Falcao, Junior, Zico, Éder til "hey! jeg har 2 hænder !!! "Valdir Peres) - det syntes jeg ikke ligger så meget Barca-systemet, som er alt for indøvet,struktureret..for meget mekanik og for lidt fantasi sammenlignet med jogo bonito. Så du har ret jeg tror ikke spillerne har de mentale og taktikse egenskaber til at drage fordel af Pep. det ligger ikke til dem. Muricy Ramalho er jeg ikke sikker på besidder de taktiske evner til at slå er europæisk hold, der er lidt for meget kasper Hjulmand over ham jvf Barcelona Santos kampen...måske Tite er bedre - det får vi at se mod Chelsea. Umiddelbart ser jeg 2 topkandidater felipão og Luxemburgo begge med erfaring fra europæiske fodbold. førstnævnte har ovenikøbet vundet Vm før og kender presset og har rutinen - hvilket er ekstra vigtigt nu det er på hjemmebane. Luxemburgo har jo også lige forlænget med Gremio.

Jeg tror iøvrigt heller ikke Guardiola tør, der er forskel på at være klubtræner i Barcelona og så at bestride fodboldens vigtigtste trænergerning som brasiliansk landsholdstræner - margen for fejl er forsvindende lille, og hvis det er et pres at være træner for Barca, er det et enormt pres at være brasiliansk landstræner særligt nu med VM på hjemmebane - jeg tror ikke han har psyken til det ærlig talt ?

Det ligner comeback til big phil.....som jeg ser det.

Hvad med Zico?

Zico er bad news - han floppede som teknisk assistent sammen med Mauro Zagallo i 1998 - et VM som Brasilien burde have vundet´.

Brasiliansk fodbold er fuld af de her ulyksagelige personer - folket tilgav eksempelvis aldrig Moacir (målmanden fra 1950) at brasserne tabte den afgørende kamp mod Uruguay og han fik aldrig lov til at møde spillerne på de efterfølgende landsholdsamlinger helt op i 90´erne fik han kniven gang på gang - fordi han havde "dårlig" karma....

Pep Guardiola podría dirigir a Brasil


RIO DE JANEIRO -- El exentrenador del Barcelona Pep Guardiola estaría dispuesto a poner fin al año sabático que pasa en Nueva York para comandar la selección brasileña, tras la destitución del hasta ayer seleccionador Mano Menezes, según fuentes próximas al técnico español citadas hoy por el diario deportivo Lance.

"El único equipo del mundo que comenzaría a entrenar mañana es la selección brasileña. Y seré campeón del mundo con Brasil", habría dicho Guardiola a una "fuente muy próxima" a él, según Lance, consultada por el editor y fundador del diario deportivo brasileño, Walter de Mattos Júnior.

El director de selecciones de la CBF, Andrés Sánchez, dijo el viernes que el sustituto de Menezes será anunciado a comienzos de enero, y que el elegido puede ser uno de los "seis o siete" candidatos que barajan los medios brasileños sin que se descarte la posibilidad de que sea un extranjero.

La destitución de Menezes fue una decisión personal del presidente de la CBF, José María Marín, quien quiere "otros criterios, una planificación y metodología nuevas" a partir de enero, con vistas al Mundial de 2014 en el que Brasil será anfitrión, según Sánchez.

Guardiola, de 41 años, disfruta actualmente de un año sabático en Nueva York tras pasar cuatro temporadas en el banquillo azulgrana, en el que consiguió catorce títulos: dos Ligas de Campeones, dos Mundiales de Clubes, dos Supercopas de Europa, tres Ligas españolas, dos Copas del Rey y tres Supercopas de España.

Godoy Cruz: Palermo asumirá en 2013

BUENOS AIRES -- El flamante técnico de Godoy Cruz llegará el miércoles a Mendoza, donde ofrecerá una conferencia de prensa y será presentado, aunque recién en enero próximo se haría cargo del plantel profesional.

El acuerdo de palabra quedó cerrado en la noche del viernes entre el representante del ex goleador, Gustavo Goñi y el titular del club mendocino, Mario Contreras, durante una reunión mantenida en la ciudad de Buenos Aires.

El contrato de Palermo, nacido en noviembre de 1977 en La Plata, tendrá vigencia durante 18 meses (hasta junio de 2014).

Lo acompañarán, en su primera experiencia como DT, Roberto Abbondanzieri y Rolando Schiavi, como ayudantes de campo, en tanto que como preparador físico estará Gastón Mendoza, quien trabajó junto al entrenador uruguayo Gregorio Pérez, tras su paso como técnico por Olimpia y Libertad, ambos del futbol paraguayo.

Palermo estará el domingo en la cancha de Tigre para observar el partido entre el equipo de Victoria y Godoy Cruz, que estará bajo la conducción técnica interina de Daniel Oldrá, tras la salida de Omar Asad.

El presidente Contreras justificó la contratación del flamante entrenador y dijo: "Lo fuimos a buscar porque nos gusta que él sea el técnico. Para ello tuvimos en cuenta su trayectoria como jugador y estamos confiados en que le puede ir bien porque es un lindo desafío".

Por su parte, Goñi señaló que "la llegada de Martín a Godoy Cruz está cerrada, tras una reunión muy amena, donde el tema se definió rápido porque ambas partes estaban entusiasmadas".

También confirmó que la llegada de Palermo a Mendoza será el miércoles, donde ofrecerá una conferencia de prensa y será presentado al plantel, aunque aclaró que "seguramente no dirigirá hasta enero", descartando así su presencia en el banco del Tomba ante Quilmes y Boca Juniors, por la penúltima y última fecha, respectivamente, del torneo Inicial de Primera División.

Tras las palabras de Goñi, se desprende que el coordinador de fútbol de la entidad, Daniel Oldrá, además del partido con Tigre en Victoria, dirigirá en forma interina al equipo, cuando juegue de local ante el "cervecero" y finalmente ante el Xeneize en La Bombonera.

Palermo, máximo goleador de la historia de Boca Juniors, convirtió 236 goles, a los que se suman 36 con la camiseta de Estudiantes de La Plata, 25 en su paso por el futbol español (Villarreal, Betis y Alavés) y 5 con el seleccionado argentino.

La llegada de Palermo a Godoy Cruz significa la cuarta vez que un técnico se hace cargo del plantel bodeguero al comenzar un nuevo año. En el 2010 fue Omar Asad, el uruguayo Jorge Da Silva en el 2011 y, finalmente, este año, fue el turno de Nery Pumpido.

En el caso de Asad, su primer ciclo en el Tomba, tras dirigir la reserva de Vélez, fue exitoso. Porque además de salvar al equipo del descenso, lo ubicó en tercer lugar del torneo doméstico y lo clasificó, por primera vez, a la Copa Libertadores. Luego se fue a dirigir al Emelec de Ecuador.

Da Silva también tuvo un excelente desempeño, clasificando a los mendocinos a la Copa Sudamericana y también por segunda vez consecutiva a la Copa Libertadores.

Por su parte, el paso de Pumpido, como un anterior período de Enzo Trossero entregaron las más flojas producciones del equipo mendocino en Primera. Quedó afuera rápidamente de la Copa Libertadores y en el torneo local, sólo obtuvo 9 puntos sobre 30 en disputa.

England to play at the Maracana in 2013


Brazil will face England in a friendly at the historic Maracana stadium next summer, according to information disclosed by a high-ranking official.
The game is set to take place on 2 June and will be Brazil´s first fixture at the modernised Maracana stadium, which will now hold 78,000 spectators.

England last played at the stadium in 1984, when a John Barnes-inspired performance saw Brazil left shocked by a 2-0 home defeat at their spiritual home.

Information about the friendly was leaked to the Brazilian media by the Governor of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Cabral. Thus far, though, the English Football Association have declined to comment on the matter.

The game would take-place just two weeks ahead of the Confederations Cup next summer, serving as both a warm-up for Brazil and an opportunity for a run-through of procedures at the stadium.

The match will also serve as the second fixture in a double-header against England in 2013, with Brazil set to play against Roy Hodgson´s side at Wembley on 6 February.

Corinthians boss Tite to test pairing of Emerson and Paolo Guerrero ahead of Fifa Club World Cup

Corinthians head coach Tite will finally get to test the partnership of Emerson and Paolo Guerrero against Santos on Saturday as he continues to weigh up his striking options ahead of the Fifa Club World Cup in Japan this December.

Emerson, 34, and Guerrero, 28, have played just 16 minutes together so far, in last weekend´s 2-0 victory away to Internacional, and while Tite said the chance was still there for Jorge Henrique, Romarinho or Martinez to grab a starting berth, he was leaning towards the pairing of Emerson and Guerrero.

Up until now injury and suspension have robbed Tite the chance to experiement with this line-up, and Emerson, who was susepended for 5 games for insulting an official, knows that everyone will have to put the team above individual desires.

He told Globo Esporte: "Someone will have to stay on the bench and will have to understand, because the collective goal is bigger than the individual. I also want to play. I need not say anything, my answer has always been on the pitch."

Guerrero has staked his claim for a place in the team with goals in his last three Brasileirão games and Emerson believes they could easily play together.

"When you have quality trained staff and a demanding coach who seeks to improve the tactical part, everything becomes easier. We´ve been training and have been together for some time. The whole group is well known. I guess we will not have a problem," he added.

Ronaldo does not approve of CBF´s decision to sack Seleção boss Mano Menezes

Brazil striking legend Ronaldo has slated the decision made by the CBF on Friday to sack Seleção head coach Mano Menezes.

Ronaldo, 36, who is part of the organizing committee of the 2014 World Cup to be held in Brazil, gave his opinion on the news to Lancenet reporters from Interlagos ahead of this weekend´s Formula 1 Grand Prix in São Paulo.

He said: "I think it is not good for Brazilian football and the Brazilian supporters for this climate of instability, uncertainty. They (CBF) took this decision. I would not do it that way, but I´m not there and do not know exactly what the situation is."

However, the former Barcelona and Real Madrid star praised Pep Guardiola, a possible candidate for the role, but was wary of the reaction to the appointment of a foreign coach.

"He is the best coach. He has now changed the way of playing for Barcelona. He did it very well. I think he would be a great name, but we must see and understand the public´s opinion to see if they would approve of a foreign coach. But we also have big names in Brazil.

"Let´s hope that in January there will be the announcement of the new coach and we´ll see. There is very little time until the World Cup and we have to find a way," he added.

Former Barcelona defender Miguel Ángel Nadal believes Pep Guardiola would suit Brazil

Former Barcelona defender, and ´Dream Team´ member, Miguel Ángel Nadal believes that Pep Guardiola would be a success if he was to become the Seleção manager as the Brazilian style would suit the coach´s style of play.

Nadal, 46, who played alongside Guardiola at the Nou Camp, told Lancenet that he was "taken aback" with the news published by LANCE! that the coach would be willing to end his sabbatical in New York to coach the Brazilian national team. However, ´The Beast´ said that he could see a "perfect union" if it was to happen.

He said: "I have no information about it. It was a surprise. But I think it would be good. Brazil has great players, a style of play that works the ball with skill, like that kind of football. That´s exactly what Pep worked with in Barcelona. So, I think it would be interesting."

Nadal was asked about any possible difficulties that Guardiola would face in managing Brazil, but he preferred to talk about the positives of taking the role.

"They have lots of quality players ... Brazil will always be well served, renewal is constant. You have to prepare and assemble a team, because raw material is there."
