Kan lige runde af med at konstatere at Huachipato er det første hold i Semfinalerne i Chile da de ude slog Palestino med 2-1 på mål af Cesar Cortes og Manuel Villalobos....

I Paraguay vvandt topholdet Guaraní El Clásico añejo med 2-1 over Olimpia. Fredy Bareiro havde bragt El decano foran men udligning af Diego Centurion og mål af Dante López sikrede hjemmeholdet de 3 point og en førstepladsen efter weekendens kampe.

i Chile tabte Colo Colo sin kvartfinale med 4-5 til Audax italiano - men gik videre ti Semfinalen efter 2-0 i første kamp. Kampen begyndte ellers strålende for hjemmeholdet Rodrigo 2 payasito 2 millar bragte Colo Colo foran med 1-0efter få minutter. Kampens store spiller argentinske Sebastian Saez udlignede for gæsterne efter 14 minutter, inden Gonzalo 2 Gonza " Fierro gav hjemmeholdet en halvlegsføring med sin træffer kort før halvleg.
Efter Pausen udlignede Sebastian saez først til 2-2 og gav derefter Audax føringen med målet til 3-2 i 63. minut. Kort efter fik los tanos smidt Mauricio "Laucha" Arías ud. Det så dog ikke ud til at bekymre gæsterne at spille med 10 man, da de fik scoret til både 4-2 og 5-2 Gamadiel G"gamagol" García og den chilenske chicharito Felipe Mora. Tingene blev forværret for El Campeon Eterno da midterforsvaren og anfører luis " Cacique Rubio" Mena blev smidt ud med et lille kvarter igen. DRamaet tog end nu en drejning da hjemmeholdets argentinske angriber Mauro "Pampa" Olivireducerede til 3-5 med 10 minutter - og var igen på pletten i de desperate overtudsminutter med en scoring til 4-5.

På Østkysten - i Uruguay - blev der spillet 3 kampe...De forsvarende mestre fra Nacional avancerede til andenpladsen et point efter ærkerivalerne fra Peñarol med 2-0 sejr over Racing målscorer Renato César og "Chino" Recoba. Andenpladsen deles med Defensor som satte vigtige poinrt overstyr ude mod River plate i en 1-1 kamp hvor La Violeta hentede et point på en sen scoring af Emilio Zeballos - endelig slog Cerro Largo Fenix med 2-0.

Gruppespillet fortsatte i Colombia hvor alle slår alle - et triplete af Carmelo "Tutunendo" Valencia gav La Equidad en 3-0 sejr over DIM og en førsteplads efter 3 runder.

Incidentes con los hinchas de Unión

SANTA FE -- Hinchas de Unión de Santa Fe volvieron este sábado a provocar incidentes con la policía cuando finalizó el partido ante Newell´s Old Boys y como consecuencia se reportaron 22 heridos y 26 detenidos.

El conflicto se inició al término del encuentro, cuando simpatizantes Tatengues quisieron romper una puerta de su estadio para cruzarse con los hinchas de Newell´s.

Allí intervino la policía y reprimió con balas de goma, ocasionando la furia de los seguidores de Unión, con el antecedente de los disturbios y el cruce con los efectivos en el clásico de la semana última ante Colón.

Volaron piedras y demás proyectiles y como consecuencia dos heridos ingresaron en el Hospital José María Cullén de Santa Fe: una mujer de 54 años con un piedrazo en la cabeza y un hombre de 35 años con traumatismos en el rostro.

En total, 20 policías resultaron heridos (ocho de la Caballería y doce de la Infantería). Entre los detenidos, hasta la noche se había informado que eran 26, habría varios identificados por lo que pasó en el clásico con Colón.

Incluso, el ministro de seguridad provincial, Raúl Lamberto, le había pedido a los dirigentes de Unión que aplicaran el derecho de admisión porque los violentos siguen entrando a la tribuna de Unión. Antes del partido, se habían detenido cinco hinchas de Unión por tirarle proyectiles a los colectivos que trasladaban a los simpatizantes de Newell´s.

Por su parte, el DT de Unión, Nery Pumpido, se mostró "muy entero" y confirmó su continuidad en el cargo, luego del empate con Newell´s, que le impidió cortar una racha de 21 partidos sin ganar.

El ex arquero del seleccionado argentino criticó a sus jugadores por los puntos perdidos ante Newell´s, al explicar que "el fútbol es para los vivos".

"A fin de años nos vamos a disfrazar de Papá Noel y los Reyes Magos", ironizó en relación a las ventajas que les ofrecen a sus rivales.

Luego, les reclamó a los jugadores "ser más inteligentes" para administrar los tiempos y las situaciones favorables en los partidos.
"El gol de ellos (1-2) a los 40 segundos del segundo tiempo nos complicó y lo sentimos. Pero merecimos, sin dudas, ganar el partido", concluyó.

Corinthians president issues hands off warning to CBF over Tite


Corinthians president Mario Gobbi has slammed the CBF for taking Mano Menezes from them and warns that they will not allow current coach Tite to leave as well.

Menezes left Corinthians in 2010 for the Brazil job and the club´s campaign subsequently collapsed after the departure.

"Tite will not leave at all. He has a contract with us until December 2013 and he will be staying. The CBF came in for Mano and his entire coaching staff and took him and then we lost the 2010 Brasileirão. But not here and not now!

"We were in chaos in 2010 when Mano left. We have a job here, a plan. My focus is on Corinthians. Tite has the contract and will stay until the end."

Tite is one of the favourites for the Brazil job, alongside Luiz Felipe Scolari, Murciy Ramalho and Pep Guardiola as the CBF look for Menezes´ successor.

Toluca and Leon have Liga MX advantage


MEXICO CITY -- The semifinals of the Mexican Apertura swung into action on Thursday night, as Toluca and Leon both captured important victories in the first legs of their ties.

In the opening match of the round in Mexico City, regular season table topper Toluca pulled off a pragmatic 2-0 win over host America in front of a packed house at the Estadio Azteca. Despite an early offensive push from the host, the Red Devils defended bravely, and managed to score the opening goal in the 54th minute, as Lucas Silva headed home from close range off a Carlos Rodriguez pass.

Toluca looked set to take a minimum cushion into the second leg at home, but the visitors instead took advantage of a counter attack in the 90th minute to double their lead. Wilson Tiago found Paraguayan international Edgar Benitez, who beat America goalkeeper Moises Muñoz to provide the final scoreline.

The Eagles now have a significant challenge on their hands headed up the road to the Estadio Nemesio Diez for Sunday´s rematch, given that Toluca has remained undefeated at home throughout the 2012 Apertura. Miguel Herrera´s side, which must win by two and score at least three goals, may also be troubled by having failed to win in Toluca in its last eight tries in the "Bombonera."

The home team had better luck in the other Liga MX semifinal, as Leon pulled off a stirring 2-0 win over Club Tijuana in Guanajuato. The Panzas Verdes were the highest scoring side of the Apertura 2012, and they asserted their usual offensive thrust in front of an emotional home crowd, eventually breaking through in an otherwise relatively even contest.

Recently ascended Leon got the break through a strike from forward Othoniel Arce in the 55th minute, assisted by rapidly rising Mexican star Carlos Peña. The duo turned the tables two minutes later, with Arce assisting Peña to double the lead.

Despite a late push, Club Tijuana was unable to move the scoreboard, as Antonio Mohamed´s team fell for the first time in 17 matches - it last lost on the second match date of the Apertura to the same Leon squad, also at Camp Nou.

The teams are now set for the return leg in Tijuana scheduled for Sunday evening, in which the Xolos will need a 2-0 win, or any other result in which the home side wins by three or more, to edge Leon for a finals spot in the battle of two relative newcomers to the deep stages of the Liga MX Liguilla.
