Bianchi le daría libertad a 5 jugadores


BUENOS AIRES -- El entrenador de Boca Juniors, Carlos Bianchi, le habría dado libertad para buscar club a cinco jugadores del plantel de Boca Juniors, a los cuales no tnedría en cuenta para los compromisos que se avecinan.

Los jugadores en cuestión son Oscar Ustari, ya que el "Virrey" mantendrá como titular a Agustín Orion; Damián Escudero, Christian Cellay, Cristian Chávez y Nicolás Blandi, por quien ya manifestó interés un club de Inglaterra (sería el West Ham United), según manifestó el presidente Daniel Angelici.

Ustari había manifestado su interés en seguir en el club en las horas previas al encuentro de ayer ante Racing, pero Bianchi no le aseguró la titularidad y optaría por buscar otra institución en la que pueda jugar más minutos.

Boca se entrenó hoy en Tandil con la novedad de la presencia del "Burrito" Juan Manuel Martínez, quien pudo practicar después de que llegara la autorización del Corinthians, y de Ribair Rodríguez.

Los futbolistas que no jugaron ayer hicieron fútbol en espacio reducido.

Por un lado jugaron Manuel Vicentini, Clemente Rodríguez, Matías Caruzzo, Tiago Casasola, Leandro Marín, Pablo Ledesma, Walter Erviti, Lautaro Acosta y Santiago Silva.

Y por el otro lo hicieron, Sebastián D´Angelo, Guillermo Burdisso, Ribair Rodríguez, Franco Sosa, Nahuel Zárate, Damián Escudero, Leandro Somoza, Leandro Paredes y Juan Manuel Martínez.

Los que actuaron ante Racing hicieron trabajos de fuerza a cargo del profesor Alfano, en tanto que Ustari y Orion hicieron trabajos específicos para los arqueros.

Honduras’ Chavez goes green (card)


San Jose Earthquakes and Honduran international midfielder Marvin Chavez has been granted his United States Permanent Residency card — green card — and will count as a domestic player on the Major League Soccer team’s roster.

Chavez appeared in 27 games last season, starting 23, and recorded a career-high 13 assists in his first season in San Jose. He also scored three goals in a season that saw San Jose wrap up its’ second Supporters’ Shield with a record of 19-6-9 (66 points), breaking the record mark of 64 points in a season. Chavez also was an instrumental part of a Quakes team that shattered the club record of 55 goals in a season.

Known for his speed, Chavez joined the Earthquakes in 2012 after being acquired from FC Dallas on Dec. 16, 2011 for allocation money.

He has four goals and 30 caps with the Honduras National Team, including two goals in 2012.

Ballouchy appeared in six games, starting four, for San Jose before suffering a torn left anterior cruciate ligament on Sept. 29, 2012 in the Earthquakes’ 3-3 draw against FC Dallas. The midseason acquisition came to San Jose from New York on July 30, 2012 for a conditional 2013 SuperDraft pick and 2013 international player slot. The seven-year MLS veteran has 13 goals and 24 assists in 174 career games with three different clubs

Fluminense in talks with Ex-Boca star Riquelme

Fluminense are in talks with Argentinean star Juan Roman Riquelme over a possible move to Rio de Janeiro.

Club vice-president, Sandro Lima, says an informal offer has already been made for the Argentine playmaker, reports Xinhua.

“We have already sent Riquelme some figures,” Lima said. “There are some other details that need to be discussed before we can say we have made a definitive proposal.

“We are taking our time. It depends more on where he wants to play. We know that there are other clubs interested too.”

Riquelme has been out of football after leaving Boca Juniors in July last year after a 1-3 aggregate loss to Brazil’s Corinthians in the Copa Libertadores final.

Fluminense would not need to negotiate with Boca as the player is a free agent after terminating his contract with the club by mutual consent.

Real Madrid set to release Kaká on free transfer - report

Real Madrid are prepared to release outcast Kaká on a free transfer this January according to reports in Spain.

El Economista reports that the Real hierarchy are fed up with the Brazilian´s costly wages and poor performances after he was sent off at the weekend against Osasuna.

The sending off is said to be the last straw for many and Kaká could be offered to clubs on a free transfer in order to remove the playmaker´s €12m a year salary off the wage bill.

If no club wishes to take on the player, the publication claims that Real will be prepared to offer a mutual termination of his contract with a payoff for the remainder of his wages.

It is thought that Real is desperate to get Kaká off the club´s books so they can offer winger Cristiano Ronaldo a new deal to secure the Portguese star to the club for the near future.

Santos´ Montillo: Do not compare me to Ganso

Santos´ new signing Walter Montillo has asked fans to be patient and not compare the Argentine with his predecessor, Ganso.

Montillo was officially unveiled at a press conference at Vila Belmiro on Monday and joined his teammates for his first training session afterwards.

The playmaker told reporters: "The comparisons are bad, but we can´t always escape it. Recently he was the best number 10 shirt of Santos. Nobody doubts my quality, but I want to do my job.

"We are different, he is more thoughtful and not as direct, while I´m more straightforward, but even so it is better. Ganso is gone, he was important to Santos, but now is the time to show my work.

"I have not spoken with the coach, I did my first workout with teammates, but I didn´t talk with Muricy. I will play where he needs me to. Everybody knows my game, but I have no preconceptions."

Chelsea´s Lucas Piazon set for Malaga loan - report

Chelsea´s Brazilian starlet Lucas Piazon is set to seal a loan move to La Liga side Malaga according to a fellow teammate on Twitter.

Patrick Bamford, a member of Chelsea´s youth side, took to Twitter to congratulate Lucas on his loan move.

The loan move could be part of a deal to take Malaga´s Isco to Stamford Bridge as reports in Spain suggest the Blues are interested in the Spaniard.
