Ramón no acepta dudas sobre él

BUENOS AIRES -- El entrenador de River, Ramón Díaz, aseguró el martes que está dispuesto "a dejar de ser el entrenador" del equipo "si alguno tiene dudas" sobre cuánto quiere al club.
"Para los que son susceptibles, si tienen alguna duda del hincha de River que soy, estoy dispuesto a dejar de ser el entrenador del club desde mañana. Si alguno tiene dudas, que lo haga saber y desde mañana no somos más el entrenador del club", dijo Díaz en una conferencia de prensa que se desarrolló en el predio que el club tiene en Ezeiza.

"Yo no me considero un entrenador y como hincha de la B. Y el gesto que hice, se lo hice a la gente de Boca. Fue un accidente lo que pasó. De parte mía lo voy a defender hasta las últimas consecuencias".

"Yo quedé en deuda, no los jugadores, que en el primer tiempo han hecho una entrega. Lo tendríamos que haber definido en el primer tiempo".

"Para los hinchas de River no tienen que sentirse lo que cantaron los vecinos, porque es un club grande".

Por otra parte, Ramón Díaz dijo sentirse "en deuda" con la gente porque no le ganaron "a este Boca", al que definió como "uno de los peores de la historia".

"Nos sentimos un poco en deuda porque no le ganamos a este Boca, que es uno de los peores de la historia", disparó el técnico riojano.

Díaz llamó sorpresivamente a una conferencia luego de haber sido cuestionado por la grey riverplatense por haber señalado el domingo en La Bombonera que él que no se fue a la B con River.

Por otra parte, el DT de River apuntó al arbitraje: "Es el primer clásico de Delfino. Sabemos la importancia de este partido y tenés que tener experiencia para dirigirlos".

"Hay situaciones que Delfino no supo resolver. No le dije absolutamente nada, no le discutí", comentó sobre su expulsión, que precedió a la polémica salida, donde los hinchas e Boca le cantaban "vos sos de la B" y el riojano hizo el gesto de "Yo no".

Y el riojano cerró su monólogo -porque no aceptó preguntas- a pura ironía sobre la formación que puso Boca en el Supeclásico: "Les traigo chupetines para todos los pibes de Boca. Están diciendo que son todos unos pibes, por eso se los traje", dijo con una bolsa llena de golosinas.

Trezeguet volvió a entrenarse

BUENOS AIRES -- El delantero David Trezeguet regresó el martes a los entrenamientos del plantel de River tras la operación en la rodilla izquierda a la que fue sometido hace tres semanas.
Trezeguet hizo trabajos de kinesiología en el predio que River tiene en Ezeiza y en aproximadamente un mes comenzará a trotar con la idea de poder estar a disposición de Ramón Díaz para el próximo torneo.

El campeón mundial con Francia en 1998 comenzó con la etapa de recuperación junto al plantel y luego siguió de cerca los movimientos de sus compañeros, que hicieron trabajos regenerativos en el caso de los que jugaron el Superclásico y fútbol en espacios reducidos los que no estuvieron ante Boca.

Ramón Díaz deberá resolver si Jonatan Maidana o Jonathan Bottinelli reemplaza al suspendido Leandro González Pirez, mientras que el lugar de Carlos Sánchez, el otro futbolista que llegó al límite de amarillas en la Bombonera, sería ocupado por Ariel Rojas, recuperado de una fatiga muscular.

Por otro lado, el técnico mantuvo una charla a solas con el colombiano Eder Alvarez Balanta, a quien le quedan tres por partidos por jugar en el torneo Final por razones reglamentarias.

Los dirigentes de River están evaluando realizar una presentación en la AFA para que Alvarez Balanta pueda jugar otros dos encuentros del certamen antes de que viaje a jugar el Mundial Sub 20 a Turquía con el seleccionado colombiano.

Scolari "convocatoria de Brasil para Copa Confederaciones está lista"

"La convocatoria está lista, pero sólo hablaré el 14", dijo ´Felipao´ a medios de prensa durante una visita a la escuela de Educación Física del Ejército en Rio de Janeiro, donde la ´seleçao´ entrenará los primeros días después de la concentración para el torneo.

El último test antes de cerrar la lista definitiva fue un partido amistoso ante Chile en Belo Horizonte, que terminó con un decepcionante 2-2, que permitió a Scolari despejar sus últimas dudas.

La ´seleçao´ se concentra el 27 de mayo para iniciar su preparación para la Confederaciones, que se disputa del 15 al 30 de junio en seis de las 12 sedes mundialistas. El 29 realiza su primer entrenamiento en la instalación militar hasta el 1 de junio, la víspera de un amistoso con Inglaterra en el Maracaná.

Luego la preparación se traslada a Goiania para su segundo amistoso con Francia en Porto Alegre y hasta el inicio de la competencia.

Cardozo es nuevo DT de Toluca

TOLUCA -- José Saturnino Cardozo se convirtió en el nuevo técnico del Toluca, luego de llegar a un acuerdo con el presidente del equipo, Fernando Corona. La noticia la dio a conocer el cuadro mexiquense a través de su cuenta de twitter. El cuadro rojo expone que con la llegada del "Súper Diablo", se espera que Toluca regrese a los primeros planos del futbol mexicano.

La presentación oficial del nuevo director técnico a los medios de comunicación se llevará a cabo este jueves 9 de mayo a las 13:00 horas en el Auditorio del Museo Salón de la Fama.

Según el club, la llegada de Saturnino se hizo con total valoración de su perfil: "Cumple con diversos aspectos que buscamos como institución deportiva, en la que estamos seguros que por ser alguien de casa y de gran identificación con los colores del club, sabe y conoce del manejo y los valores dentro del deportivo Toluca".

"Cardozo fue uno de los mejores delanteros de América y en México batió todos los récords permaneciendo siempre en Toluca desde 1995 hasta 2005. Cardozo estuvo en el club 10 años como jugador, espacio en el que tuvo logros destacados como los cuatro campeonatos de Liga y cuatro títulos de goleo individual. José Saturnino fue considerado en 2003, según la Federación Internacional de Historia y Estadística, como el delantero que más goles anotó con un club en torneos de Liga".

Flamengo set to sign Atlético Sorocaba´s Bruninho

Flamengo are close to announcing the signing of Atlético Sorocaba´s midfielder Bruninho, who shone in the São Paulo State League.

The club have already signed Diego Silva and Paulinho from XV de Piracicaba, and are close to announcing Grêmio striker Marcelo Moreno as well.

The new signing Bruninho is a short attacking midfielder, he is fast and has good technique.

He scored 6 goals in the São Paulo State League and was linked to Santos as well, as Muricy Ramalho called the player to try to convince him to join Neymar´s team.

Flamengo´s director Wallim Vasconcelos confirmed that the negotiations to sign Bruninho are very advanced, he said: "Bruninho is close, he already aigned a pre-contract."

He also talked about Marcelo Moreno, he said: "Marcelo Moreno´s case is 99.9% certain."

Flamengo will debut in the Brazilian national league on May 25, against Santos.

Atlético Mineiro against Sao Paulo compete to pass to round of eight in Libertadores tournament

Atlético Mineiro, home of Ronaldinho Gaúcho, will host Sao Paulo this Wednesday in Belo Horizonte in a game between two Brazilian clubs who are hoping to deliver the final blow to the competition and advance to the next round of Copa Libertadores de América competition.

In the first game of the two game series, played in Sao Paulo, Atlético Mineiro beat Sao Paulo 2-1.

Jan-Michael rejoins Warriors for European tour

Caribbean Cup 2012 captain Jan-Michael Williams will rejoin the Trinidad and Tobago national senior team for the first time this year after being selected for upcoming friendlies away to Romania and Estonia on June 4 and June 7 respectively.

Williams’ call-up is reward for his service at Pro League club, St Ann’s Rangers, which he joined last month. The talented 28-year-old custodian helped DIRECTV W Connection to the 2011/12 Pro League title but was frozen out of the squad early this year after a fall-out with head coach Stuart Charles-Fevrier.

Co-head coaches Hutson “Barber” Charles and Jamaal Shabazz overlooked Williams for four successive international friendlies due to his lack of match practice but the goalkeeper has earned himself a recall, just two months before the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

“I’m happy and extremely ready,” Williams told Wired868. “I just really want to resume playing with the national team.”

Central FC custodian and captain Marvin Phillip is expected to keep his place in the 20-man squad while North East Stars goalie Cleon John is likely to give way for Williams.

Two other intriguing additions are Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte and Notts County midfielder Andre Boucaud, both 28-years-old, who have agreed to join the squad.

Hoyte is a former Arsenal and England national youth defender who was born in England to Trinidad and Tobago parents. The Middlesbrough player, who can operate in central defence or at right back, was offered the chance to try out for the “Soca Warriors” on the eve of the 2006 World Cup but declined.

He is willing to help Trinidad and Tobago at the upcoming Gold Cup once given the chance, though.

Boucaud, who was also born in England, already has six international caps with the Warriors and played in three 2006 World Cup qualifiers under then coach Bertille St Clair. However, the box-to-box midfielder was just 20-years-old when he last wore “red, white and black” in October 2004 and has not played for any of the six coaches that followed St Clair.

Attacking midfielder Hughtun Hector and versatile defender Seon Power, who are based in Vietnam and Thailand respectively, are also in the present squad and could make their first international appearances of the year.

Khaleem Hyland, Keon Daniel, Sheldon Bateau, Carlyle Mitchell, Chris Birchall, Kevin Molino, Darryl Roberts and Ataullah Guerra complete the roster of 12 overseas-based players selected for duty in Europe.

Ipswich Town right back Carlos Edwards is likely to miss out due to injury while Stoke City forward striker Kenwyne Jones is “excused” and talented Finland-based 21-year-old attacker Shahdon Winchester and 24-year-old Slovan Bratislava winger Lester Peltier were again overlooked.

The remaining Pro League players expected to make-up the 20-man squad include North East Stars striker Cornell Glen, Neal & Massy Caledonia AIA playmaker Densill Theobald and the W Connection pair of defender Daneil Cyrus and utility player Joevin Jones.

Connection captain and midfielder Clyde Leon, Caledonia striker Jamal Gay and the Defence Force duo of winger Kevon Carter and forward Devorn Jorsling are believed to be on a shortlist competing for the two remaining spots.

“These two games are massive for us at this point as we prepare for the Gold Cup,” Charles told the TTFF Media. “This will give us a very good idea in terms of what we are looking for as a final squad for the Gold Cup. It will give us a true picture.

“I am particularly eager to see how the boys like Andre Boucaud and Justin Hoyte fit into the squad because we believe they will bring something of value to us. And then the return of guys like Kevin Molino, Khaleem Hyland and Hughtun Hector is a definite boost for us.”

The final Trinidad and Tobago squad is expected to be selected in the final week of May.
