Jamie Gittens:
Chelsea are in talks with Dortmund over Jamie Gittens and want the deal done before the club World Cup.
The desire to add another winger is more with Mykhailo Mudryk’s absence in mind. Process likely to take time regardless of the outcome.
Chelsea would prefer to keep Jadon Sancho, but only if he agrees terms within the club’s wage structure. Otherwise, Sancho will go back to #MUFC for a £5m penalty fee.
Another forward is also possible as Christopher Nkunku is expected to leave.
This could be another number nine, despite faith in Nicolas Jackson. Or it could be a versatile attacking midfielder.
Chelsea will be opportunistic should Morgen Rogers become available, but Aston Villa have no intention to sell even with a tight PSR position.
Jorrel Hato also still remains a possibility in defence.
No movement on goalkeepers. Chelsea will first pick a number one from Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Filip Jorgensen and Mike Penders. Club World Cup likely to be a key period to judge all four.
