Todd Boehly’s Strasbourg beat Manchester United to signing of Tyrese Noubissie

As the only side younger than the Blues in Europe, they are obviously looking at exciting young players in the transfer market, and one of those has cropped up in the form of Tyrese Noubissie.

The 16-year-old is leaving Manchester City this summer, and the youngster has already taken to Instagram to say goodbye to the Premier League club.

As per TheSecretScout, Strasbourg are signing the youngster off the back of Chelsea’s recommendation, beating the likes of Manchester United to the addition.

He said: “Tyrese Noubissie (16) as expected to leave Man City’s Academy. However an interesting development as he heads to Strasbourg.

Aaron Anselmino won’t join Strasbourg after Mamadou Sarr loan deal

Aaron Anselmino is another player Chelsea will want to loan out in order for the 20-year-old to gain more experience.

Fabrizio Romano has shared on X, though, that Anselmino will not sign for Strasbourg after Chelsea’s decision to send Mamadou Sarr there.

With the Blues also planning to send Paez to Strasbourg on top of Sarr and Penders, the Ligue 1 side cannot loan any more players from their sister club.

This is not the first time that Chelsea have complicated an exit for Anselmino. During the January transfer window, Anselmino was unable to leave on loan after Joao Felix took the last international loan spot.

Atletico Madrid have contacted the representatives of Renato Veiga as they explore a deal to sign him from Chelsea.

The Spanish side are seeking defensive reinforcements and have turned their attention to Veiga after ending their longstanding interest in Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero.

Veiga is one of the players Chelsea are prioritising selling this summer. They are understood to be holding out for more than €40million (£34.6m) for the defender, who is interested in the proposed move to Atletico.

Chelsea will make a handsome profit if they can recoup that sort of fee for the 21-year-old, who they spent only £12m to sign from Swiss club Basel in July 2024.

The Portugal international made 18 appearances for the Blues in the first half of last season before joining Juventus on a six-month loan.

Towards the end of last season, Juventus were weighing up a permanent move for Veiga once his loan came to an end. A move to sign him outright has yet to materialise, however.

Bayern Munich are also keen on Veiga, though Atletico´s interest is said to be more serious at this stage.

Veiga became an important player for the Juventus last season, playing predominantly at centre-back but occasionally at left-back or in defensive midfield.

No more loans: Chelsea insist on permanent transfer of Chukwuemeka

Chelsea have turned down Borussia Dortmund’s renewed attempts to sign Carney Chukwuemeka on another loan deal, insisting on a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old midfielder, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Dortmund had hoped to extend Chukwuemeka’s stay after bringing him in on loan during the second half of the 2024/25 season.

Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for several weeks, but Chelsea are keen to offload the former England youth international of Nigerian descent permanently as they seek to trim their bloated squad ahead of the new campaign.

Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022 for a reported £20 million fee, but has struggled to secure a consistent place in the first team due to injuries and fierce competition for midfield spots.

His time at Dortmund has also been disrupted by fitness issues, limiting his impact in the Bundesliga.

Nonetheless, he featured in all three of Dortmund’s group-stage matches at the FIFA Club World Cup in June 2025, including a 1-0 win over South Korea’s Ulsan HD.

Despite Dortmund’s quarter-final exit at the hands of Real Madrid, sporting director Sebastian Kehl remained impressed with Chukwuemeka’s performances.

"He has immense potential as a box-to-box midfielder," Kehl said, hinting at the club’s desire to retain him beyond the summer.

However, Chelsea’s firm position has complicated matters. The Blues are understood to prefer a clean break, allowing them to generate funds and make space for other midfield options.

With no agreement in place, Chukwuemeka now faces an uncertain future, with the possibility of returning to Chelsea’s reserve squad if no buyer is found before the end of the transfer window.
