Første preseason kamp i dag mod Peterborough United. Bag lukkede døre, så vi må nøjes med at læse om den.
Måske vi får et formations skifte at se i løbet af preseason/sæsonen alligevel?
Chelsea play their first pre-season fixture today as the Blues take on newly-promoted Championship side Peterborough United at Cobham. And Thomas Tuchel has made an intriguing decision over the formation he will use for the friendly.
After taking charge at Stamford Bridge at the end of January after Frank Lampard´s sacking, the German coach instantly implemented a 3-4-2-1 system and rarely deviated away from it.
That certainly paid off. Not only did Chelsea rise up the Premier League table and eventually finish in the top four but the Blues would defeat Atletico Madrid, Porto, Real Madrid, and Manchester City on their way to winning the Champions League.
Yet there was a belief that Tuchel would look to change things up during pre-season, that he would work on a formation that utilised a back four rather than a back three, something he discussed with certain players as far back as February.
