Det havde han ikke udtalt sidst han var i England. Måske han er blevet lidt mere moden :)

Den samme Mourinho som afsluttede det emne med "that´s his problem."?

Jo, men han gav alligevel United kredit - noget i stil med "it´s a special club with special fans" - det tvivler jeg på den gamle Mourinho havde gjort.

Og så er han naturligvis ærgerlig over at han ikke kunne få Rooney, som imo var kampens spiller i mandags (på et tyndt grundlag, for der var ikke mange offensive lyspunkter).

Jeg tager til England/London/Manchester i efterårsferien og satser på at skaffe et par billetter til United-Southampton. Hvad er den nemmeste procedure for en newbie som mig?

Nu sættes vi sammen med Ander Herrera som jeg ikke kender noget som helst til, men fandt dette på Redcafe:

Ander Herrera is a central midfielder, firstly. Anyone who has said he is not a central midfielder does not know what they are talking about. For the past two seasons under Bielsa, he has been played as a deep playmaker. He is built almost in the same mold as Xavi, because of his maturity in his role and his ability to dictate play from deep. He plays alongside Iturraspe and De Marcos. De Marcos is an energy player and is a pure box-to-box midfielder -- he isn´t really good, though. Iturraspe has the build of an anchor man but has the propensity to move forward, just like Ander. Ander is the one that is given the job of maintaining Athletic Bilbao´s high-tempo attacking style by playing long diagonals and quick one-twos on the ground. Ander has the ability to pick out a pass from deep, and he is phenomenal in terms of ball retention. He is the most underrated player in Athletic Bilbao´s side and the same with Spain U21. He is a better choice than Thiago in the central midfield role because unlike Ander, Thiago simply does not have the discipline to maintain a rigid place in midfield while still maintaining an attacking threat. Ander is a much more refined central midfielder and he is extremely hard-working, which bodes well if he would play alongside Carrick because Carrick is not the most mobile central midfielder out there. He has a fantastic attitude on the pitch and he plays with a lot of passion -- someone before said that he is a "prick", which he absolutely isn´t -- and he is aggressive defensively.

What I like the most about Ander is how unfazed he is under pressure. He is very disciplined in possession of the ball and the reason why he roams around the pitch was especially due to Bielsa´s style of football that was employed. Ander was the best midfielder in Athletic Bilbao´s midfield three, and his creativity on the ball would make him a very good asset to Manchester United. If I were to make a quick comparison, he would be a little bit worse than Éver Banega on the ball, but much stronger defensively and much more disciplined in a central midfield role. He plays in a three-man midfield, yes, but that is no way to actually assume that he would struggle in the Premier League. The reason behind that is because many teams in La Liga actually press through the center, which is almost unheard of in the Premier League. The likes of Ander would thrive in the center of the pitch if he is given time on the ball.

However, the truth is that there is little chance that Manchester United will acquire Ander Herrera. Firstly, it seems unlikely that Manchester United will pay Ander´s release clause of €36m. Athletic Bilbao have no reason to sell -- they are in an admirable financial shape, and they have no need to get rid of one of their best performers. Secondly, it is very difficult to buy replacements. The next best Basque midfielder, Rubén Pardo, is tied down with a €60m release clause if Athletic Bilbao want to buy him. For any other club, the release clause is €30m. There is a general distaste from some of the other Basque clubs towards Athletic Bilbao -- Urrutia once sarcastically talked about Osasuna´s ball boys being good on the ball, to which Gonzalez replied "Don´t worry, they´re kids in our youth system so you can take them any time you like" -- Javi Martínez and David López being two of the many footballers who have jumped ship from Osasuna to Athletic Bilbao. And if the release clause is actually met, there will be a lot of haggling and the transfer deadline is soon. I would actually rate Ander to be worth somewhere between €22-28m, really

Herrera var med på det Bilbao-hold, der rev os rundt for halvandet år siden. Lille, teknisk god, klejn og klog Xavi agtig type som jeg husker ham. Aner ikke om han vil være god nok til at løse vores udfordringer på midtbanen.

Vi ender nok med Fellaini og/eller Baines lige inden vinduet lukker.

Ja, det er også mit gæt umiddelbart.

Rygterne på Twitter går på, at United nu har budt 40mil pund for både Baines og Fellaini og, at Everton skulle være positive overfor at sælge til denne pris.

En smule dyrt efter min mening.

Hvis vi kan få begge til omkring 350 mio. kr. er det isoleret set en ok handel, når man tænker på det generelle prisniveau på markedet.

Lidt pudsigt, hvis Everton skulle sige ja til 40, når de så vidt jeg har læst har sagt nej til 38. Men alt har selvfølgelig sin pris.

Det er gode spillere, og HVIS de kommer vil de gøre god nytte hen over en PL-sæson, men så er de vel hellere ikke bedre, jeg tror ikke vi tordner igennem CL af den grund, og det er godt nok en hamper pris.

Jeg er så så FM agtig, at jeg hellere så at vi brød banken for én spektakulær spiller, som virkelig ville løfte holdet, som 40-50 mio pund for Özil eller Fabregas. (ikke at vi kan få dem, det kræver jo at de vil og spanierne vil sælge, men you get the point?)
