Det ser ikke godt ud, dommeren udtalte at det ser ud som om klubben kører videre selvom den reelt er insolvent. Klubben har 7 dage til at vise at økonomien er tilstrækkeligt i orden til at de kan betale alle kreditorer.

Jep, klubben har reelt været insolvent i et par måneder nu, så administration er næsten uundgåeligt.

Southend og Cardiff fik i øvrigt begge 28 dages henstand.

En supporter var med ved gårsdagens møde i retten med HRMC. Nedenstående er hvordan han oplevede det. Personligt synes jeg ikke at det giver grund til optimisme.

I felt I should go this morning and hang around the Royal Courts of Justice, have a bit of Pompey hanging around basically. As I approached the court (in my Pompey hat) there were huge numbers of reporters. I had to do some interviews and the journalists said I should get myself into the court. Find out its Court 56 and find myself waiting outside with a load of journalists and Peter Ridsdale. Then Mark Jacobs walks into the waiting area. Walk over to him, introduce myself and say I work at his old school. As we have this common ground he is happy to chat. After we get the school stuff out of the way we start talking Pompey. We chat about a lot of stuff that has already been covered on this list - to summarise - there are two genuine offers on the table but wouldn´t elaborate, asset stripping definitely did happen before he got there but he would not elaborate, he didn´t want one the two players in the window to go, The Sacha loan is not a secured loan against the club and is not enforceable. Sacha is looking for a deal on that pocket of land. There is no cashflow of any significance coming into the club.
Mark Jacobs was disappointed in the performance of some of the players, KPB for example - he should be offering more. He was surprised by last nights attendance - I tell him I don´t think he appreciated how demoralised everybody is since all the events that have happenned since HR left and that Pompey is a low wage area. Then Gary Double and Tanya Robbins come in and almost immediatly MJ shouts out "what the hell is he doing here?". Daniel Azougy is also present. But he is clearly not part of the PFC party.

Then go into the court - absolutely rammed - one other Pompey fan who I sort of recognise is on the other side. PFC are about 50th in a huge list of winding-up orders - builders/property/retail/restaurants. When we eventually get to PFC the Judge says that it is so involved that it will be dealt with at the end of the session. Cardiff and Southend are dealt with in seconds.
When they move onto the PFC case we start hearing the gory details, £11.4 M outstanding, about £7m VAT and £4.6m Paye.

It becomes clear very quickly that the HMRC are completely disillusioned with Pompey and either want to see Pompey wound up through a compulsory order OR PFC have a few days to provide a Statement of Affairs. HMRC are constantly saying that PFC are trading insolvently and should be wound up.
PFC counter with their VAT issue and how they shouldn´t have to pay this. Both HMRC and the judge through their tone, seem clearly to think that this is a delaying tactic as the 7.4 M would still have to be paid to the other clubs instead of the HMRC. HMRC again say that this has nothing to do with the paying of Paye debt. PFC are asked by the judge how they intend to pay back the paye, PFC dodge the question with some long winded irrelevant answer regarding the VAT case.

At this point I was very worried about our future - the judge and HMRC seemed to be in much agreement about our insolvency and our brief was going on about this VAT thing which seemed to be getting us knowhere. PFC say they have appointed Vantis PLC - insolvency practitioners, they will prepare a statement of affairs and are asking for 21 days to prepare report. They have recieved two offers to buy club which will pay off all debt. The judge was confused by this, she thought the club had been bought last friday!

PFC finish off by saying if winding up order proceeds then everything will end. Two other petitions were heard against PFC, one from a solicitors firm - they said they would be happy with an adjournment. The other one I have no note for.

Judges summing up:
I quote, "PFC are undoubtedly trading insolvently"
"I am aware of the consequences to employees,fans etc - though it is not part of this courts brief"

She then granted a short adjournment. A statement of affairs must be provided by 4pm 17 Feb. Also all documents provided to the Premier League must also be submitted to HMRC so that they can be compared by the Judge.
Judge reiterated that she is very concerned about us trading insolvently.

I´m no legal person as you can see from the above, but my conclusion from attending the session was that unless we are bought by a new investor we will be wound up at the next session. HMRC are clearly completely fed up with us and want us wound up. One thing I wasn´t sure about was whether the winding up has the option of administration or liquidation - I don´t know about this and I was none the wiser after todays events.

Left the building with the other Pompey fans - there was a woman as well, who used to work in the field of insolvency - she said that the hearing that had been granted for the adjournment was only half a day and Pompey might get a stay of execution after this hearing because the legal arguments may drag on longer than half a day.

Walked out, interviewed by CNN and The News, went home.

Suggest somebody else from PAB goes to next session - was very interesting and frightening. At some points this afternoon I really thought we were finished.

Lidt mere cash i kassen med en runde mere, tillykke med det, det falder på et tørt sted, og så 4-1 over aints.

En fin artikel omkring rivaliteten mellem de to klubber. Blot er jeg uenig i at det først startede i 1950´erne. Mistilliden mellem de to byer i det hele taget går langt længere tilbage.

Det er så sindssygt latterligt at jeg snart ikke ved hvad jeg skal tro, men et eller andet sted må man jo håbe at det er sandt. Fuck, der sker mere i denne her klub på 1 år end der gør hos andre klubber i 20 år, og som tidligere nævnt så glæder jeg mig allerede nu til at læse bogen om dette kaos. Hvis det ender lykkeligt, naturligvis.
