Jeg husker bare en 2010 Les Combottes fra Amiot der for ½ år siden var helt stram og lukket.

Seifert: Ja det jeg med på men Les Longeroies skulle jo gå for at være den bedste mark i Marsannay og en producent som Denis Mortet burde ku lave noget sjovt der tænker jeg, er der virkelig ingen af jer der har smagt den?

Nå men jeg vil da gladeligt melde tilbage når den er i glasset.

Der laves 1 mia. forskellige vine i Bourgogne... vi kan ikke have smagt dem alle :-)

Producer note: Arnaud Mortet observed that the 2008 vintage was "a rather complicated year. The summer weather was troubled and the ground seemed as though it was constantly wet. I absolutely abhor compacting the soil of my vineyards and thus I went to the expense of having almost all of the vines worked manually. When it became clear that this was no vintage for dense foliage or excess yields, we did not one but two green harvests with the goal of having only 5 to 6 clusters per vine, which helped with the aeration as well as the ripening. We began picking on the 25th of September and while there was plenty of sorting work to do, it was manageable. Sugars were excellent at between 12.5 and 13% and the phenolics were very ripe. I did a lighter extraction than usual but not because of the fear of green tannins but rather because 2008 is an elegant vintage and I just felt that making monsters in such a vintage would be a huge mistake. In keeping with this vision of the vintage, I used less new wood than in 2007 for all of the villages wines. Overall, I love the 2008s and I think once they´re in bottle that consumers will see how beautiful the good ones can be." Unfortunately, the malos were extremely long chez Mortet and a number of the wines had not finished and thus only five of them are reviewed. I did however have the opportunity to revisit the entire range of now in-bottle ´07s. Tasting note: A soil-suffused nose of warm and notably ripe dark berry fruit aromas leads to supple, round and forward middle weight flavors that possess good integration of the underlying structure and fine length if limited complexity, at least at this early stage. 86-88

Producer note: Jean-Louis Amiot calls the 2010 vintage a "tough one due to the weather, poor flowering and severe December 2009 frosts, all of which served to brutally reduce yields. Moreover, the poor flowering caused a high incidence of shot berries, which is great for quality but not quantity. We began picking on the 22nd of September and thankfully had almost no sorting losses as the fruit was absolutely perfect. I didn´t do anything different than I usually do with the exception that there is a bit more new wood than usual due to the tiny yields that were off between 30 and 50% depending on the appellation in question." I would describe the Amiot 2010s as competent but not transcending the general quality of the vintage. (No known American importer; La Reserve and Avery´s Wine Merchants, www.averys.com, UK).

Tasting note: A ripe, fresh and earthy mix of dark berry fruit displays top notes of spice before sliding gracefully into vibrant, round and supple flavors that possess good delineation but also a touch of backend bitterness that I suspect will gradually round out with a few years of bottle age. 87/100

86-88pts af en konservativ kritiker som Burghound er ikke skidt men heller ik ligefrem noget vildt.

Det er meget sjovt engang imellem at surfe lidt rundt og se hvad de "kendte" skriver om vine.

F.eks. Comando G som jeg har hypet en smule her. Jancis Robinson nakker den ret præcist som jeg også har skrevet:

Winemakers Daniel G Jiménez-Landi, Fernando García and Marc Isart think of themselves as the Comando G (Comando Garnacha in this case), where their mission is to make the best Garnacha in the world. And they are getting closer to it! This comes from a vineyard in the tiny mountain village of Navarrevisca, in the province of Ávila, and cannot therefore be from the DO Madrid, so it´s bottled and sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, a regional wine category similar to Vin de Pays in France. The 60-year-old vines are planted at 1,200 metres altitude. The 0.3 ha of north-facing vineyards were harvested on 20 October, with 12.8% potential alcohol and 8 grams of acidity. The grapes were fermented in open barriques with their ambient yeasts, with a gentle maceration, and aged for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels. Only 1,000 bottles were produced, so this is almost an academic wine (and their most expensive one too).

2010 Rumbo al Norte:
Very pale, but bright, cherry colour. The nose is an explosion of flowers, very elegant, with red fruit and Mediterranean herbs. Perhaps a touch lactic, it develops a distinct and acute blood-orange note. In the mouth it has weight but it is light at the same time. Crisp, it has imminent complexity, is supple with umami notes and well delineated. Very mineral. A wine of emotion. Pure elegance; an exemplary wine. Somehow it makes me think of Musigny… :-)

Efter at have læst lidt med i tråden, er jeg blevet nysgerrig på den Burn Cottage, der så ofte bliver nævnt herinde. Jeg har fundet den på Laudrup vine, men er den på tilbud på andre billigere og troværdige hjemmesider?
