Der er en bar i Gatwick, The Beehive, der sælger engelsk sparkling wine fra Chapel Down by the glass. Til ca. £4, hvis jeg husker rigtigt? Glimrende, glimrende!

Meget er lavet om siden sidst jeg var har.

Der ligger dog en bar som serverer noget sparkling ved navn Chapel Down.

Lige præcis! Et par glas før flyveturen hjem er efterhånden blevet et slags ritual for mig, når jeg er på de kanter.

1984 Les Frères Dubois Epesses "Braise d´Enfer".

Sidste glas at dette souvenir fra sommerferien i Schweiz. Måske ikke den allerstørste modne chasselas, jeg har smagt. Men interessant og velsmagende nok til at retfærdiggøre prisen på ca. 40 chf. Trods ravgylden farve og relativt komplekse tertiære noter har vinen på mirakuløs vis bevaret sin oprindelige forfriskende kvalitet.

2012 Desiré Petit Arbois Pupillin Cuvée Tradition

Chardonnay-Savagnin. Fin relativt ufunky Jura-hvidvin. Et prisrelevant alternativ til en Bourgogne Blanc. Faktisk den med afstand mest Tissot-lignende vin, jeg har smagt fra Petit (afspejlede sidstnævntes nylige generationsskifte)

Har 2009-årgangens Rhoneagtige, bløde træk, men med kun 12% alkohol (ingen chaptalisering?) fungerer det alligevel ganske godt. Gav 175,- pr. flaske, fin til helstegt grissebasse.

2012 Chateau de Chamilly Montagny Les Burnins (13%)
Fin til prisen. Fadpræget (vanilje, flødekaramel) er ikke til at tage fejl af, men der er endnu god spræl i frugten (pære, Vicks Blue) så helhedsindtrykket er relativt friskt. 88-89/100.

2012 Desiré Petit Crémant du Jura "Cuvée Desirée" (11,5%, 99kr).
Ganske fin mousserende. Frisk, men med mærkbar autolytisk karakter. Et niveau over typisk supermarkeds-cremant.

2006 Herrenweg Riesling fra Zind-Humbrecht. Stadig masser af liv, han er sgu mesteren af langtidsholdbar hvide. Gad godt at have flere men det var eneste flaske jeg havde.
