The wine is pale gold. It has medium intensity - developing - aromas of ripe green-, citrus- and stone fruit (grape juice, lemon, white peach) with hints of maturity (honey), kernel (hazelnut) and minerality (flint/petrol). The wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ intensity flavours reflecting the nose. Texture silky-soft, yet somewhat vibrant. Medium+ length.
Very good quality. Not a wildly expressive wine, but the fruit is well defined and backed up by fine minerality and subtle tertiary complexity. However, not quite complex enough to be rated "outstanding".
Brainstorm: Første tanke var riesling fra Alsace. Grand Cru niveau, lidt alder. Men det er en sjov/drilsk vin! Syren er ok, men ikke helt på normalt rieslingniveau - og det svagt petroleumsagtige glider ligesom sammen med noget nøddeagtigt, som forvirrer mig så meget, at jeg flakker mellem så forskellige steder som Schweiz/sydtyskland (chasselas/ziereisen gutedel jaspis), Soave (garganega) og et let fadlagret grenache blanc-blend fra det nordøstlige Spanien ("Acustic", Montsant). Hmm. Jeg går sgu med sidstnævnte!
