Uhøjtidelig, men ikke useriøs vin. Pomerol møder Beaujolais - jeg er glad!

Just think of the trees: they let the birds perch and fly, with no intention to call them when they come and no longing for their return when they fly away. If people's hearts can be like the trees, they will not be off the Way

Skal på Boheme i aften. Er der noget man bør prøve at smage - overvejer Foillard og Rayas som oplagte muligheder. Det kommer naturligvis også an på hvad man vælger at spise :-)

2013 Matthiasson Ribolla Gialla Matthiasson Vineyard Napa Valley
Tasted: 30 Jul 2015
Rating: 15.5/20
Drink: 2015 - 2020
Fermented whole cluster in a closed-top tank. Pressed after 3 weeks and aged for 20 months in neutral barrels. Organically farmed.
Notes of apricot leaf, tea and high-toned accents of canned apricot. Pleasantly textural with a sense of freshness and savoury elements. Mouth-washing acidity with a textural palate and long finish. More one-dimensional with less complexity than the 2012 though still a delicious wine. This wine carries some of the challenges resulting from the 2014 Napa Earthquake. These barrels tumbled during the earthquake and were left inaccessible for an extended period as they sat in a mountain of tumbled barrels. As a result, the wine could not be topped. There is still a deliciousness to this wine but as a result of the mishap it misses some of the fineness of the 2012 vintage.(ECB)
